Changing Lives, through
Justice, Healing and Hope.
Happy Care Foundation stands beside children in conflict with the law and the vulnerable
families, women and elders who love them. Through legal aid, mental health support,
rehabilitation and community reintegration, we bring justice, healing and a way back home
across West Nile, Central, Eastern, Acholi and Lango.

STORIES OF CHANGE
A Second Chance Can Change a Life
At just 14 years old, “David” found himself in conflict with the law. What followed was a difficult period for him and his family—uncertainty about the legal process, disruption to his education, strained family relationships and fear about what the future might hold. But David’s story did not end there
Happy Care Foundation brought together legal support, social work and psychosocial care to help David and his family navigate the situation.
An HCF social worker worked alongside the family to understand the circumstances surrounding the case, provide guidance, strengthen family support and help develop a pathway towards rehabilitation and reintegration.
