Uganda's Champion for Justice & Dignity

Every person deserves a
second chance to thrive.

Happy Care Foundation provides legal aid, rehabilitation, resettlement, and mental health support to juvenile offenders, youth, women, and the elderly across Uganda's West Nile, Acholi, and Lango regions.

A just and inclusive Uganda — for everyone

At Happy Care Foundation, we believe that no one should be defined solely by their past. We work alongside juvenile offenders, youth, women, and elderly people in conflict with the law, ensuring they receive fair legal representation and the wraparound support they need to rebuild their lives.

Our holistic approach combines legal services, psychosocial counselling, vocational training, and community reintegration — addressing the root causes of conflict and breaking cycles of poverty and recidivism.

Programs that transform lives

Every service we provide is designed to address real barriers — legal, social, psychological, and economic — faced by the most vulnerable.

Reaching remote communities across Uganda

Happy Care Foundation concentrates its efforts in three historically underserved sub-regions of Uganda, where access to justice services has been severely limited by geography and infrastructure.

Our teams travel to rural courts, detention facilities, rehabilitation centres, and community gathering points — bringing services directly to the people who need them most.

Distance and poverty should never
determine access to justice.

Remote Locations

Many beneficiaries live in areas with poor infrastructure, making it nearly impossible to reach courts, rehabilitation centres, or mental health services without dedicated support.

Delayed Justice

Unreliable transport causes missed court dates, prolonged pre-trial detention, and delayed access to rehabilitation — compounding harm done to individuals and families.

Scarce Resources

Over-reliance on hired transport diverts funds from frontline programmes. Every dollar spent on ad-hoc travel is a dollar taken from legal aid, counselling, or vocational training.

Real people. Real transformation.

Holistic care from arrest to reintegration

We believe in addressing the whole person — not just the legal case. Our team of lawyers, counsellors, social workers, and community liaisons works together to ensure every individual receives consistent, compassionate care at every stage of their journey.
